We believe in following Jesus’ example of loving others and support several charities and causes. The charities that we are currently actively supporting include:

Barnabas Fund

Are you wondering how to respond to the crisis in Ukraine? As a church we will be promoting the Barnabas Fund an amazing charity that supports Christians around the world facing persecution.

As a response to the crisis in Ukraine they will be sending supplies over to some of the churches they partner with. This Sunday we will be collecting donations so make sure to bring them along (for info on what to donate check link below). As well as this you can volunteer packing and sorting at the warehouse.

If you would like more information on this amazing cause check out this link https://www.food.gives/gb/ukraine/

Mâna Deschisă

Mana Deschisa, a Romanian charity, is a Christian residential centre for the homeless, or for those who are in immediate danger of becoming homeless due to poverty, abuse, domestic violence, emotional problems or substance abuse.

One of our amazing Church members, Vitoria, is currently living in Romania and working for this amazing charity, following God’s call on her life. You can follow her journey here: https://www.facebook.com/My-Year-in-Romania-147600939397976/?ref=br_rs

People Against Poverty

This amazing charity  works with international and UK projects to help change lives by releasing communities from poverty. Their aims are:

  • To feed the hungry, provide shelter, clothe and educate the poor, take care of the sick and bring communities together to help break the cycle of poverty
  • To form communities in the UK to engage with People against Poverty
  • To be a gateway directly enabling our communities here in the UK, to engage with our international communities bringing them both life changing experiences.

We primarily support People Against Poverty through their child sponsorship programme.

Local Initiatives

Swindon Night Shelter

This is an amazing charity seeking to serve those who are homeless, vulnerable and struggling in the local area of Swindon. They offer a hot meal, a chance to shower and wash clothes and a bed for the night. There’s an opportunity to relax, chat, receive advice about help and support in the week and hear God’s word.

Youth for Christ

At Swindon Youth for Christ we believe we have a calling to rebuild our town in the same way Nehemiah had a calling to rebuild his town Jerusalem. Swindon Youth for Christ are working in partnership with local churches and communities bringing hope to thousands of young people in Swindon each year.

MOP supports vulnerable women who have been victims of trafficking and who would have otherwise not received any support. Our Christmas initiative this year is to collect gifts for babies and children up to the age of 2 to make Christmas special this year. We would also love to get together some care packages for mums.
